How to change your payment card for direct debit#
Payments for Mergado are collected by direct debit from your payment card through Stripe or GoPay. When your card expires or you want to pay from a different one, simply cancel the current payment gateway in your account settings and set up a new one right away. You can handle it yourself in a few moments.
Who can make the change#
Payment settings are available only to the Store Owner. If you do not have this role, ask a colleague who does to make the change.
How to do it#
- Log in to Mergado.
- Go to the Payment settings section.
- Cancel the payment gateway you currently have set up.
- Immediately afterwards, create a new payment gateway and enter the details of your new card. You can choose between Stripe and GoPay.
⚠️ Set up the new payment gateway right after you cancel the old one. Without a payment gateway in place, Mergado has no way to collect your subscription payment at the next billing, which may lead to your project being paused.
Conclusion#
Changing your card takes two steps in Payment settings — cancel the old gateway and create a new one immediately. This affects neither your billing frequency nor any other details.
