Element GIFT#
Basic information#
The GIFT element contains a text description of a free gift included with the product. GIFT can appear multiple times in the feed if all those gifts are free with the product, with no additional conditions required to receive them.
When multiple GIFT elements are present, individual gifts can be distinguished using the nested ID attribute. Each gift can optionally have its own identifier.
The maximum text length in the GIFT element is 250 characters.
How to work with the ID attribute of the GIFT element in Mergado#
In Mergado, the @ character is prepended to attribute names. The basic path to the ID attribute under the GIFT element in queries or rules would look like this:

- Can cashback be listed as a gift?

What Mergado Audit checks for the GIFT element#
- Whether the GIFT element contains content that is not permitted — for example, the word discount (a discount or service should not be listed as a gift with a product).
- The maximum permitted length of 250 characters.
