Uploaded images#
The Uploaded images layer lets you add any static image to the graphic template, such as a logo, frame, graphic label, banner, or other visual element. Unlike the Image from element layer, this layer’s content is the same for all products: the uploaded file appears on every product image in the template.
How it works#
Images are uploaded to the extension’s library and are available for reuse across all templates in the project. Once a file is uploaded, it can be inserted into any number of templates without having to upload it again.
Setting it up in the extension#
-
In the graphic template, add a new layer and choose the Uploaded image type.
-
The library of uploaded images appears in the right panel.
-
Click to select an image from the library; it’s inserted onto the canvas as a new layer.
-
If the image you need isn’t in the library, click Upload images and upload a new file.
-
Set the layer’s position, dimensions, and rotation. The layer can be moved by dragging it directly on the canvas or by entering coordinates numerically.
-
Optionally, set the layer’s transparency.
Managing the image library#
Every uploaded image is available in the library as a thumbnail. Images you no longer need can be deleted by clicking the trash icon on the relevant thumbnail. Deleting an image from the library removes it from every template that uses it. Before deleting, we recommend checking that the image isn’t actively in use. Uploaded images can also be managed in the project’s Settings, in the Uploaded images section.
Typical use cases#
Store logo – a consistent logo on every product image regardless of the product or category.
Graphic frames – decorative or branded frames adding visual consistency to advertising images.
Promotional labels and banners – pre-designed labels for campaigns (“Sale”, “New”, “Free shipping”) inserted as an image with precise visual styling.
Seasonal graphics – Christmas, spring, or other themed elements added to images for the duration of a campaign. Combined with the activity scheduler, the template with seasonal graphics is activated and deactivated automatically.
When to use Uploaded image vs. Image from element#
Uploaded image is suitable when you want to insert the same graphic element on all products. If the image needs to differ from product to product – for example, a brand logo from the feed – use the Image from element layer instead.
FAQ#
What file formats can be uploaded?#
Feed Image Editor works with standard image formats. For graphic elements with transparency (logos, frames without a background), we recommend the PNG format.
Can the same uploaded image be used in multiple templates?#
Yes. The image library is shared across all templates in the project – an uploaded file can be inserted into any number of templates without re-uploading.
Is the image library shared between projects, or does each project have its own?#
The image library is tied to a specific project. If you need to use the same images in multiple projects, you’ll need to upload them to each project separately. Alternatively, graphic elements can be transferred along with the template using template export and template import.
Can the Uploaded image layer have transparency set?#
Yes. The layer’s transparency can be set just like for other layers. This is useful, for example, for semi-transparent logos or overlay graphic elements that aren’t meant to fully cover the product beneath them.
