Settings#

On the Settings page you adjust the basic parameters of the entire project – from the currency and the source of statistics, through the behavior of AI insights, to automatic checks and notifications. The changes take effect across the whole app.

Connections overview#

At the top of the page you’ll find a brief overview of the project’s active connections. Managing connections now has its own dedicated Connections page, where all the setup options are available.

Project settings#

The Project settings section contains the basic parameters according to which Pricing Fox displays data throughout the app.

• Project currency – determines which currency prices are displayed in throughout the app (e.g. Kč / CZK, or € / EUR). The currency does not convert values – it only serves to correctly display the currency symbol next to numbers.

• Default source of statistics – sets which source performance data (turnover, clicks, orders) is loaded from as the default across the app. The choice can be overridden at any time directly in a specific report. The available sources depend on the project’s active connections (e.g. Google Analytics 4, Heureka, Zboží.cz, Shoptet).

• Calculated price multiplier – a coefficient by which every price calculated by pricing is multiplied before being written into the output element. The default value is 1 (no change). It comes in handy, for example, in situations where the output feed expects prices in a different unit or a systemic price correction is needed. The What is this? link shows a more detailed explanation directly in the app.

AI settings#

The AI settings section lets you influence the behavior of AI insights, which appear in various places in the app (for example, the Project analyst on the Overview or the analytical comments in reports).

Here you can:

• turn off AI insights for the entire project

• adjust the level of detail (verbosity) of the generated comments

Check settings#

Every hour, Pricing Fox automatically checks the project’s key aspects – for example the availability of the feed, data processing, or the state of connections. The Check settings section determines how to respond to any problems.

Available options:

• Setting up individual checks – the button opens an overview of all available automatic checks, and you can choose which of them should be active.

• Email address for alerts – enter the address (or several addresses) to which Pricing Fox should send an email when a problem is detected. You add addresses with the + Add address button.

• Also send notifications to Mergado – tick this to activate sending alerts directly to Mergado’s notification center, where all users with access to the project will see them.

Change history#

The Change history section records all edits to the project’s settings. For each change it shows:

Change history comes in handy especially for projects that several people have access to – it lets you trace back who edited a key setting and when, and possibly reveal an unintended change that affected repricing behavior.

Before every settings edit, check whether the project is shared with other users. Changes such as switching the input price or the pairing element can have a direct impact on the repricing of all products.

FAQ#

Will Pricing Fox recalculate prices automatically when the currency changes? No. Changing the currency only affects the display of the symbol in the app – the numbers aren’t converted. If you sell in euros, set euro and Pricing Fox will correctly display € instead of Kč.

What is the calculated price multiplier and when should I use it? The multiplier is a coefficient by which every price calculated by pricing is multiplied before being written into the output element. The default value of 1 means no change. It’s used exceptionally – for example if the output system expects prices in a different unit (hundredths instead of whole units) or a blanket systemic correction is needed.

Who can change the project settings? The settings can be edited by any user who has access to the given project in Mergado. If several people manage the project, we recommend coordinating before a change – every edit is recorded in the Change history.

How far back does the Change history go? The history keeps records with no time limit, as long as the project is active. The records are paginated; you’ll find older changes on the following pages of the table.

Can I set up alerts for only some types of problems? Yes. The Setting up individual checks button in the Check settings section opens an overview of all available checks, and you can turn each of them on or off separately.
