Frequently asked questions#

  • How do I set up automatic bidding so that HEUREKA_CPC adjusts itself?
    • Use the Bidding Fox extension for Mergado, which is an automated bidding tool and competitor monitoring solution in one.
  • How do I set up bidding using rules in Mergado?
    • Use the Cost per click pricing rule, which lets you set HEUREKA_CPC:
      • based on the minimum cost per click set by Heureka, to which you add a certain amount on top, or
      • as a percentage of the product price.
  • How do I set up bidding based on price tiers?
    • First, segment the feed into several queries by price. You can use the pre-built automation named Dividing products into 5 segments based on price for this segmentation. Find it in the left menu of your Heureka project → Automations → search by name or by the keyword segmentation.
    • Then set HEUREKA_CPC by price tier using the Bulk rewriting by query rule.
  • How do I set up bidding based on margins (margin tiers)?
    • Similarly to price tiers, as described above. This setup assumes you have the margin stored in some auxiliary element in the feed and that you segment the feed into several queries based on it (into margin tiers). Then use the Bulk rewriting by query rule to set specific HEUREKA_CPC values based on margin levels.
  • How do I set a different cost per click based on categories?
    • Use the Bulk rewriting by values rule. On the left side of the rule, select the element containing the category, e.g. CATEGORYTEXT; on the right side, select HEUREKA_CPC. This lets you assign a different cost per click to different categories.
  • How do I set a different cost per click based on manufacturers?
    • Use the Bulk rewriting by values rule. On the left side, select the element containing the manufacturer, e.g. MANUFACTURER; on the right side, select HEUREKA_CPC. This lets you assign a different cost per click to different manufacturers.
  • How do I set a different cost per click based on parameters, such as material?
    • Use the Bulk rewriting by values rule. On the left side, select a specific parameter such as material or material composition; on the right side, select HEUREKA_CPC. This lets you set different costs per click based on the physical properties of the product, such as the material it is made from.
  • How do I set a higher cost per click for bestsellers compared to regular products?
    • First, on the Products page, create a query of products that are your top sellers (bestsellers). The enumeration query may be useful for this.
    • Then apply the Calculation rule to this query to set, for example, a 50 % higher cost per click for your bestselling products. The formula in the calculation rule could look like this: %HEUREKA_CPC%*1,5
  • Can I manually adjust HEUREKA_CPC for a specific product?
    • Yes, on the Products page, find the product, click the small pencil icon on the row containing the HEUREKA_CPC element value, and adjust the cost per click.
