Product labels#

Product labels serve to quickly and clearly mark products directly in Pricing Fox. They help you navigate your assortment better, create custom product groups, and work with them across other activities. For example, when filtering, checking products, or further processing the feed in Mergado.

A label can mark, for example:

  • a certain group of products,

  • a selection of products by a specific filter

  • a manually selected set of products

  • products intended for a specific campaign

  • seasonal or promotional products

  • products intended for further checking

  • products by diagnostics

  • a group of products by margin

  • a group of products from the Reports page

  • and many more options

Where to find product labels#

Product labels are created on the Products page.

At the top of the page you’ll find the Label products button, which you use to open the label management and can create a new label.

In the same part of the interface you also see the filters already used or saved, and the labels you’ve created. These are shown as colored “pills”, so at a glance you can see which groups of products you’re currently working with.

A single click on a “colored pill” displays the products that currently fall under the given label.

What product labels are for#

Labels come in handy mainly when you need to quickly divide products into your own groups.

With labels you can, for example:

  • mark products intended for a specific PPC campaign

  • distinguish seasonal assortment

  • set aside products with a high margin

  • prepare a group of products for checking

  • divide the assortment according to the team’s internal needs

  • mark products for further processing in Mergado

How to create a product label#

  1. Go to the Products page

  2. 2. Click the “Label products” button

  3. 3. Click “Create label”

  4. 4. Click “Save”

1. Go to the Products page#

On the Products page you can first search for or filter the products you want to work with.

Here you have available, for example:

  • full-text search

  • a selection of the type of products

  • other filters

  • saved filters

  • a products table with detailed data

The filters can be combined in various ways. This lets you create very fine product segmentations in great detail and adjust your business strategies as needed. Once you have a filter or product selection ready, you can then attach a label to it.

2. Click the “Label products” button#

After you click it, the management of saved filters and saved labels opens.

FAQ#

Can one product have multiple labels at once? Yes. A product can be marked with any number of labels. Labels don’t exclude one another and can be combined for different purposes – for example, one label for a campaign, another for internal segmentation.

Can I use a label as a query in a pricing rule? Yes. In the rule editing view, select Label as the query type and choose the desired label. We recommend preferring labels over filters from the Pricing group, because Pricing filters may be one recalculation behind.

What happens to a label when a product disappears from the feed? The label assignment is kept in Pricing Fox. If the product reappears in the feed, the label will still be active. If the product has disappeared permanently, it can be manually removed from the list of labeled products.

Can a label be sent back to Mergado and used there? Yes. When creating or editing a label, you can tick the option to send it to Mergado as the value of a selected element. This lets you use labels from Pricing Fox in rules or filters directly in Mergado as well.
