Filters#

Filters let you adjust the visual properties of product images in bulk, directly in the Feed Image Editor graphic template. Three settings are available: brightness, contrast, and gamma. Each of them can be set for the whole product query at once, without having to edit every image separately.

When filters come in handy#

A typical example is white products on a white background. The product blends into the background and its outline is not distinct enough. Adjusting the contrast or brightness separates the product from the background and makes it stand out more in ads.

Filters are also useful when images in the feed are overall too dark, overexposed, or visually inconsistent, for example when imported from a supplier with different camera settings.

Setting it up in the extension#

Filters are set up in the Feed Image Editor graphic template. The brightness, contrast, and gamma values can be set individually and combined as needed. The result is available continuously in the previews, or directly on the Previews page.

FAQ#

Does setting filters affect the original images in the feed?#

No. Feed Image Editor generates new output images, and the originals in the feed remain unchanged.

Can filters be combined with other edits in the template?#

Yes. Filters are part of the graphic template and can be combined with any other features, such as Background removal, graphic layers, effects, and automatic color balancing.

Can filters be applied to only part of the products?#

Yes. The template is applied to a chosen product query, so filters can be limited, for example, to products from a specific supplier or category with unsatisfactory image quality.

We recommend starting with mild adjustments and continuously checking the result in the previews on a sample of products.
