What is the Pricing Rank extension?#

Pricing Rank is an extension that monitors and evaluates your product prices on Heureka (Heureka.cz and Heureka.sk) every day and helps you set a pricing policy so that you appear at the top non-bid positions in the product card.

The extension compares your prices with competitors daily and recommends adjustments so your products reach your chosen target position (e.g., “no worse than third” or “maximum fifth place” below bid offers). When the market allows, it also suggests raising prices to improve margins without losing position.

Pricing Rank does not work with bid positions. It focuses exclusively on the non-bid ranking in the product card — positions that appear to customers sorted by price below the recommended (bid) offers.

The extension is ideal for:

  • Online stores that want to appear in top positions on Heureka just below bid positions, but do not want to or cannot invest in bidding.
  • Online stores with a low-price policy, for whom staying visible to customers is key.
  • Sellers with multiple pricing strategies who need to approach top products, high-margin goods, or clearance items differently.
  • Brand-building online stores, for whom continuous product visibility on Heureka is a priority regardless of current price competition.
  • Marketing specialists and agencies who need to regularly report pricing policy results to clients and export data in a structured format.

Pricing and billing#

The extension price is:

  • EUR 15 per month with monthly billing,
  • EUR 12 per month with annual billing.

The price applies to one project (in Mergado) and is fixed, regardless of the number of products and volume of processed data.

Due to technical dependencies, the extension is billed in accordance with the billing frequency chosen in Mergado Editor. Different billing frequencies cannot be selected for individual services.

The Pricing Rank extension has a 10-day free trial.

Requirements for running the Pricing Rank extension#

  • Active Mergado Editor account.
  • Verified by Customers certificate from Heureka.
  • Active Sortiment report download in the Heureka administration.
  • Mergado–Heureka connection in the Mergado Keychain extension.

Key features#

  • Custom pricing strategies — For different product queries (or the entire assortment), you can set different pricing strategies. Product queries are created directly in Mergado Editor.
  • Target position selection — For each strategy, choose the desired position in the non-bid ranking on Heureka, for example “no worse than third” or “maximum fifth place”.
  • Daily price recommendations — Every day, the extension evaluates whether your prices meet the set strategies and recommends specific adjustments (price increases or decreases).
  • Margin optimisation — Pricing Rank flags products where there is room to raise the price while maintaining the chosen position.
  • Rule prioritisation — If multiple rules apply to one product at the same time, their order in the list determines priority. The order can be changed at any time by dragging.
  • Export results to CSV — Results and recommendations can be downloaded as a CSV file and used for bulk price updates in your online store. Exports include product identifiers (ITEM_ID, ITEM_GROUP_ID, PRODUCTNO, OTHER_ID, EAN) for easy matching with your internal database.

⚠️ Pricing Rank does not change prices automatically. Export the results and recommendations to CSV and update prices manually in your online store or via import.

How to activate the Pricing Rank extension#

Activate the extension in Mergado Store: I want to activateselect the project for which you want to enable the extension → Enable.

⚠️ After activating the extension for the first time, you need to wait until the next day. Pricing Rank draws data from the Heureka Sortiment report, which Mergado downloads once a day. You will see the first results the following day.

Working with Pricing Rank#

After activation, you will see two main tabs in the Pricing Rank interface — Overview & results and Pricing policies.

Pricing policies#

On the Pricing policies tab, you can create individual strategies and view the list of all pricing policies you have created. If you have conflicting pricing policies set for one product, their order in the list determines priority — the higher a pricing policy is, the higher its priority. You can change the order by dragging.

Click the pencil icon next to a pricing policy to edit it.

How to create a pricing policy#

  1. In the Pricing Rank interface on the Pricing policies tab, click the Create new pricing policy button.
  2. Select the product query (created in Mergado Editor) the strategy should apply to (or select the entire assortment).
  3. Set the target position — the place in the non-bid ranking where you want to appear (e.g., “no worse than 3rd” or “maximum 5th”).
  4. Optionally check the appropriate box if you want Pricing Rank to recommend a price increase when the pricing policy would still be met at a higher price.
  5. Give the strategy a name of your choice.
  6. Save by clicking Save.

Overview & results#

You will see the results of a new pricing policy on the Overview & results tab only the day after the Sortiment report has been downloaded.

Pricing Rank then displays a results table for all products that do not meet your pricing policy — they are either too expensive (a price decrease is needed to reach the target position) or too cheap (they would maintain the position even at a higher price). The table shows:

  • current and required position in the non-bid ranking on Heureka,
  • current and recommended price,
  • the specific pricing policy the product violates — clicking directly from the table takes you straight to that rule.

Exporting and using data#

On this tab, you can also download the results as a CSV file. Click the Download results as CSV button and then select the type of file you want.

You can choose:

  • Formatted data (suitable for reports) — one file with all results or one separate file for each pricing policy
  • Raw data (for machine processing) — one file with all results or one separate file for each pricing policy

The exported data can be used for bulk price updates directly in your online store. Using identifiers (e.g., EAN), they can be matched with your internal product database.

Pricing Rank vs. Pricing Monitor#

The Pricing Monitor /link/ extension monitors your product prices against competitors and alerts you to products that are overpriced, too cheap, or have a low margin. It does not take into account the position in the product card, however. Pricing Rank directly targets a specific position in the non-bid ranking and recommends price adjustments so that you reach or maintain that position.

Pricing Rank vs. Pricing Fox#

The Pricing Fox extension automatically reprices products according to rules you set, and also works on Zboží.cz. Pricing Rank does not change prices automatically — it only recommends how to adjust them. Changes must be made manually, or via CSV export and subsequent import into your online store.
