What is the Pricing Monitor extension?#
Pricing Monitor is an extension that automatically monitors and analyses your product prices against competitors on Heureka (Heureka.cz and Heureka.sk) every day. It also takes into account your own costs — if you connect a cost XML feed to Mergado, it monitors margins and alerts you to products being sold below purchase price.
Based on data from the Heureka Sortiment report and your feed, it prepares a daily overview of products that are overpriced, unnecessarily cheap, or being sold with a low or negative margin. You can then review the results directly in the extension or export them to a CSV file.
The extension is ideal for:
- Online stores in highly competitive sectors, where even small price changes can significantly affect sales.
- Online store operators who set prices with a fixed margin and want to find room for optimisation without manually going through Sortiment reports and Excel spreadsheets.
- Agencies managing multiple client accounts who need quick overviews and clear recommendations without complex manual work.
Pricing and billing#
The extension price is:
- EUR 7 per month with monthly billing,
- EUR 5.60 per month with annual billing.
The price applies to one project (in Mergado) and is fixed, regardless of the number of products analysed.
Due to technical dependencies, the extension is billed in accordance with the billing frequency chosen in Mergado Editor. Different billing frequencies cannot be selected for individual services.
The Pricing Monitor extension has a 10-day free trial.
Requirements for running the Pricing Monitor extension#
- Active Mergado Editor account.

- Optionally a cost XML feed for margin monitoring.
Key features#
- Automatic daily price monitoring — Every day you receive an up-to-date report on the state of your offering on Heureka.cz and Heureka.sk. Pricing Monitor automatically processes data from your feed and the Sortiment report, so you do not need to manually go through data or monitor competitors.
- Alerts for overpriced products — The extension identifies products that are too expensive compared to competitors and are difficult to sell. It does not only look at the lowest price on the market — it evaluates multiple criteria. For example, it does not flag a product as overpriced when one seller has drastically undercut all others.
- Suggestions for price increases — Pricing Monitor highlights products where your price is unnecessarily low and customers would likely still choose your online store at a slightly higher price. This lets you increase profit without losing customers.
- Detection of below-purchase-price sales — Once a cost XML feed is connected, Pricing Monitor alerts you to products being sold below purchase price or with very low margins. This helps uncover pricing mistakes where the online store manager set prices incorrectly.
- Margin trend tracking — With a connected cost XML feed, you can track the historical development of margins for individual products in a clear chart.
- Export results to CSV — Any product selection or report generated by Pricing Monitor can be exported to a CSV file for further processing, sharing, or direct updates in your online store.
How to activate the Pricing Monitor extension#
Activate the extension in Mergado Store: I want to activate → select the project for which you want to enable the extension → Enable.
⚠️ After activating the extension for the first time, you need to wait until the next day. Pricing Monitor draws data from the Heureka Sortiment report, which Mergado downloads once a day. You will see the first results the following day.
Working with Pricing Monitor#
After activation and initial data processing, Pricing Monitor displays reports divided into several product categories:
Overpriced products — products whose price differs significantly from competitor offers and are difficult to sell.
Products with room for a price increase — products where your price is unnecessarily low and customers would likely still choose your online store at a higher price. Pricing Monitor identifies this opportunity based on competitor comparisons and other signals from the product card.
Products with low or negative margins — this report is only available when a cost XML feed is connected to Mergado. It shows products being sold below purchase price or with a very low margin.
Results from the individual reports can be:
- Viewed directly in the Pricing Monitor interface
- Exported to CSV — for use outside Mergado, for example to update prices directly in your online store or to share with product managers.
In the Pricing Monitor interface you will also see a clear chart tracking the development of price status. If you connect a cost XML feed to Mergado, you will also see a chart showing the development of margin status.
FAQ#
What is Pricing Monitor and what is it used for?#
Pricing Monitor is a Mergado Editor extension that automatically monitors and compares your product prices against competitors on Heureka.cz and Heureka.sk every day. It helps identify products that are overpriced, unnecessarily cheap, or being sold with a low or negative margin, and provides recommendations for better pricing. The goal is not to have the lowest prices, but appropriate ones — attractive enough for customers and profitable for the online store.
How much does Pricing Monitor cost?#
The price is 186 CZK per month with monthly billing or 148.80 CZK per month with annual billing.
How often is data updated?#
Data is processed and updated automatically once a day. After first activating the extension, results will therefore appear the following day.
Which comparison sites does Pricing Monitor work with?#
The extension works with projects for Heureka.cz and Heureka.sk. Other comparison sites (e.g., Zboží.cz) are not supported.
What do I need for Pricing Monitor to work?#
You need an active Mergado Editor account, a Verified by Customers certificate from Heureka, active Sortiment report download in the Heureka administration, and a Mergado–Heureka connection in the Mergado Keychain extension.
Is connecting a cost XML feed mandatory?#
No, the cost XML feed is optional. Without it, Pricing Monitor monitors and compares prices against competitors. Once connected, it also identifies products being sold below purchase price or with a low margin, and displays a margin trend chart.
Can I export results outside Mergado?#
Yes, any report or product selection can be exported to a CSV file.
What is the difference between Pricing Monitor and Pricing Rank?#
Pricing Monitor monitors prices and recommends adjustments based on competitor comparisons and your costs. Pricing Rank goes further — it allows you to set pricing policies for groups of products with the goal of influencing their position in the non-bid section of the product card on Heureka. Pricing Monitor does not take the position in the product card into account.
When is Pricing Monitor useful and when is Pricing Rank?#
Pricing Monitor is valuable when you want an overview of your prices compared to competitors and want to identify products that are unnecessarily cheap or overpriced. Pricing Rank is suitable for those who want to actively manage their products’ position on Heureka through pricing policies.
