Element PRODUCT#

Basic information#

PRODUCT should contain the same value as PRODUCTNAME plus any additional information. It is the extended product name.

The additional information may include, for example, the expiry date, product distribution details, or clarifications for in-store pickup.

The maximum length is 255 characters for full-text search display, and 200 characters for a product card.

Does the PRODUCT element have to be present in the feed?
- No, it does not — as long as PRODUCTNAME is in the feed.
How do I put the same content into PRODUCT as in PRODUCTNAME?
- Use the Bulk copy values rule to copy the content of the PRODUCTNAME element into the PRODUCT element. This overwrites the existing value in PRODUCT with the value from PRODUCTNAME.
What additional information can the PRODUCT element contain beyond PRODUCTNAME?
- For example: expiry date, product distribution details, or clarifications for in-store pickup.
What information may the PRODUCT element not contain?
- It must not contain:
  - Information about an extended warranty — use the EXTENDED_WARRANTY element for that.
  - Additional services such as upper-floor delivery, appliance service/replacement/installation, etc. — use the SPECIAL_SERVICE element for these.
  - Information about free shipping — use the DELIVERY element for that.
  - Information about product availability — use the DELIVERY_DATE element or a separate availability feed supported by Heureka.

Whether PRODUCT is not duplicated — i.e. whether it is unique for every product in the feed.
Whether the PRODUCT element has the correct length (no more than 255 characters).
The audit also flags when PRODUCT contains additional words such as “instalments”, “sale price”, “in-store pickup”, URLs, or non-standard characters.
