Overview#

The app’s home page shows you the most important information about what’s happening in your Pricing Fox project, all in one place. So it serves not only as a quick gateway to the most important information, but also as the project’s control panel.

Here you’ll find the current state of your assortment, the development of repricing, performance over the last 30 days, active connections, and a smart summary from the Project analyst. A list of TOP products and the latest app news is also important for a quick yet up-to-date overview.

The individual blocks may be displayed depending on the phase the project is in and what connections or data it has available.

1. Basic project overview#

At the top of the page you’ll find cards with summary figures about the project. They serve as a quick check of how many products Pricing Fox is processing and how their prices or margins change over time.

Displayed here are:

  • Products – the total number of products in the project

  • Processed – the number of products Pricing Fox has currently processed

  • Discounted – the number of products whose price has decreased

  • Increased – the number of products whose price has increased

  • Margin – the average margin on products for which Pricing Fox has the necessary data available

Each card contains a current value and a small chart of historical development. This lets you quickly see whether something has changed significantly in the project. For example, whether the number of processed products has dropped, more discounting has begun, or the average margin has changed.

The values are based on the data loaded into the project, on product processing, and on repricing results. For margin, Pricing Fox needs to have available the input data it can calculate it from – typically the sale price and purchase price. If some data is missing in the project, the given metric may not be displayed or may not be available for the entire assortment.

💡 Tip: For selected metrics, clicking takes you to the related part of the app, for example the Products page with the corresponding filter.

2. Project analyst#

Below the main cards you’ll find the Project analyst block. It briefly summarizes important information from your project and helps you quickly understand whether everything looks all right.

The analysis can reveal, for example:

  1. how many products were repriced in the recent period,

  2. whether the project is processing the expected number of products,

  3. what the basic performance metrics look like,

  4. how many orders and clicks there were, or what the turnover was,

  5. whether any significant changes or fluctuations are visible in the data.

Using the Run analysis button, you can have a current commentary on the project generated. The analyst thus helps you quickly understand whether the project looks all right, or whether it’s worth checking some parts in more detail.

You can give feedback on the output using the thumbs up / down icons, or refresh the analysis.

The Project analyst is based on the data available in the specific project. If a connection to Google Analytics 4 or other performance sources is available, it can also include performance data in the summary. The analysis does not change the project settings and does not rewrite any rules. It serves only as an interpretive and check layer over the available data.

We recommend filling in the element with your purchase prices in the Connection to Mergado - this will let Pricing Fox calculate and display margins on your products.

3. Performance over 30 days#

In the Performance section you see the project’s basic results over the last 30 days.

Displayed here are:

  • Orders

  • Clicks

  • Conversion rate

  • Costs

  • Turnover

Smaller development charts are shown for the individual values. The main turnover chart then shows how revenue changed over time. This lets you quickly tell whether performance is stable, growing, or, on the contrary, declining.

Performance data is displayed depending on which connections the project has active. If, for example, Google Analytics 4 is connected, Pricing Fox can display orders, turnover, conversion rate, or other metrics available from GA4. Some data may also come from price comparison sites or other connected sources, if the project uses them.

If a source doesn’t send a specific metric, the value may not be displayed or may be zero. A typical example is costs, which are only displayed if Pricing Fox can obtain them from an available source.

4. Active connections#

The Active connections block shows which input and output sources are engaged in the project.

On the left side, the sources from which Pricing Fox obtains data are displayed. These may be, for example:

  • Mergado

  • Heureka

  • Zboží.cz

  • Google Merchant

  • Google Analytics 4

  • Shoptet

On the right side you’ll find the outputs into which Pricing Fox sends adjusted data or repriced values. These may be, for example:

  • Mergado

  • Universal CSV export

  • Shoptet

A green frame and a check icon indicate that the connection is active and in order. If an alert appears for a connection, for example an orange icon, it means that the given connection requires a check or may contain a problem.

Using the Manage connections button, you get to the page with detailed connection settings.

Input connections supply Pricing Fox with data it can work with – for example product data, reference prices, performance metrics, or diagnostic information. Output connections, on the other hand, determine where the resulting prices or adjusted data should be sent.

The connection state is based on the project’s current configuration and on the checks Pricing Fox performs on the connection. If there’s a problem with a connection, it’s advisable to go to the connection detail or to the diagnostics and check the specific message.

5. Opportunities for action#

The Opportunities for action block alerts you to things that may affect the quality of repricing or the use of data in the project.

These may be, for example:

  • unpaired products on Heureka

  • unpaired products on Zboží.cz

  • other diagnostics that require attention

For each item you see a brief description and the number of products affected by the given problem. This lets you quickly tell where there may be the greatest room for improvement.

This information is based on the diagnostics and checks available in the project. For example, an unpaired product means the product couldn’t be correctly connected or paired with the corresponding product card on the given source. This can affect the availability of reference prices, competitor data, or other information Pricing Fox uses during repricing.

Through the Show all diagnostics link you get to the complete overview of diagnostic messages.

6. Checklist#

The Checklist serves as a quick check of the project’s basic setup. It helps verify whether the project has completed the important steps needed for repricing to work correctly.

It contains the following items:

  • pairing element set – The pairing element determines which value Pricing Fox uses to recognize individual products. It’s typically a unique product identifier, for example a product code, internal ID, or another element that’s stable and unambiguous in the data.

Thanks to the pairing element, Pricing Fox can correctly link product data across sources and work with the right product. If the pairing element is set incorrectly or isn’t filled in in the data, there may be a problem with pairing or the subsequent repricing of products.

  • input and output element set – The input and output elements determine which price a product enters repricing with and where it should save the product’s newly calculated price after applying the rules.

  • product data downloaded – This item confirms that Pricing Fox successfully loaded the product data into the project. For Pricing Fox to reprice products, it must first know them. Downloading product data is therefore a basic step, without which you can’t work with the assortment, rules, or resulting prices.

  • at least one rule created – This item means that at least one price rule exists in the project. Rules determine how Pricing Fox should work with prices. Without a rule, the app may have product data loaded, but doesn’t know what logic to adjust prices by.

  • automatic product repricing started – Once automatic repricing is active, Pricing Fox can regularly recalculate prices according to the configured rules and available data. This lets prices be updated continuously without manual intervention. By checking this item, you confirm that automatic repricing is running in the project.

A green check means the given step is complete. If some item isn’t complete, you need to fill it in or set it up in the project.

The Checklist is based on the project’s configuration and the current state of data processing. It checks whether Pricing Fox has available the basic information needed to work with products and rules. This typically means whether it knows which element to pair products by, where it takes the input price from, where it should save the output price, and whether a rule already exists by which it can reprice products.

The Checklist can come in handy mainly during the initial setup of the project, but also later as a quick check that the project’s basic parts are still in order.

7. TOP products#

The TOP products block displays selected products by margin. You can switch between products:

  • with the highest margin

  • with the lowest margin

For each product you see the name, the product identifier, and the margin value. The product name serves as a link to the product detail, where you’ll find more detailed information.

This block helps you quickly reveal products that have a high margin, but also products where the margin may be low and deserves a check.

TOP products are displayed based on available data about price and margin. For Pricing Fox to include a product in this overview, it must have available the data needed to calculate the margin. This is typically the purchase price.

If the necessary data is missing for some products, they may not be displayed in this block. Through the Show all products link you get to the Products page with the corresponding filter.

8. App news#

In the App news section you’ll find information about the latest changes, improvements, and new features in Pricing Fox.

For news, the following is usually displayed:

  • the release date and number of the latest version

  • a brief description of the changes

  • a link to the latest articles that help you understand new functionality as well as other news related to e-commerce, business strategies, or other topics of interest.

9. Quick contact#

In the bottom right corner of the page, a phone icon may be displayed. It serves as a quick contact to support or the Pricing Fox team.

You can use it when:

  • you’re not sure about the project setup

  • you need help with a connection

  • you run into an error

  • you want to consult about repricing or rules

What to watch most often on the Overview#

The Overview comes in handy mainly for regular project checks. We recommend watching primarily:

  • whether the expected number of products is being processed

  • whether there’s an unusually high number of price decreases or increases

  • whether the average margin isn’t changing significantly

  • whether performance in orders, turnover, and clicks meets expectations

  • whether all important connections are active and error-free

  • whether the diagnostics aren’t alerting you to a problem

  • whether the checklist isn’t showing missing basic settings

  • whether products with the lowest margin don’t require a check of rules or prices

This lets you quickly tell whether Pricing Fox is working correctly, or whether some part of the project needs to be checked in more detail.

FAQ#

How often is the data on the Overview updated? The data is loaded during each processing of the project – typically several times a day. Each block shows the time of the last load, so you always know which moment the data belongs to.

Why don’t I see the Performance or Project analyst block? Some blocks are displayed only when the relevant data or connection is available. Performance requires an active source of statistics (GA4, Heureka, or Zboží.cz). The Project analyst is always displayed, but you need to click Run analysis to generate the commentary.

Does the Project analyst change my settings or rules? No. The analyst serves exclusively as an interpretive layer – it reads the available data and generates a text commentary. It doesn’t touch the project settings, rules, or prices in any way.

What should I do when the checklist shows incomplete steps? Click the given item – Pricing Fox redirects you to the place where you can complete the missing step (e.g. setting up elements or creating the first rule).

Why do I see a different number of products on the Overview than on the Products page? The Overview shows the total number of products in the project. The Products page may show a different number if you have an active filter. Check whether you have a filter set that limits the displayed products.
