Frequently asked questions#
- Is it possible to adjust prices automatically based on the competition?
- Yes, use the Mergado extension Pricing Fox. It automatically adjusts prices based on competitor price movements and your defined requirements, to keep your offer as competitive as possible.
- How do I round prices in PRICE_VAT?
- Use the Round numbers rule. Keep in mind that the price in the output feed must match the price displayed in your online store. Use the same rounding type you apply to prices in your store.
- How do I convert a currency using an exchange rate — for example from EUR to CZK or from CZK to EUR for the Slovak Heureka?
- Use the Calculation rule with a fixed or dynamic coefficient (variable). A step-by-step guide is available in the article Convert currencies easily with Mergado on our blog.
- Should the PRICE_VAT element include the currency?
- No. Enter only the numerical value in this element — the amount without any currency symbol (CZK, EUR, etc.).
- What price should PRICE_VAT show when a discount voucher SALES_VOUCHER is used?
- If a product has a discount voucher (see the SALES_VOUCHER element), PRICE_VAT must contain the price after the voucher has been applied.
What Mergado Audit checks for the PRICE_VAT element#
- Whether the PRICE_VAT element is missing or empty for any products.
- Whether the PRICE_VAT element contains a positive number. The price including VAT must always be a positive number.
- Whether the value is not unreasonably high — for example, whether it exceeds 1,000,000 CZK, which could indicate a typo.
- In connection with the VAT element, the audit checks whether both PRICE_VAT and VAT are present in the feed — for example, if prices are specified in the
PRICEelement (i.e. without VAT), the VAT element should not be missing from the feed.
