Canvas#

The canvas is the workspace of a graphic template in Feed Image Editor. It shows a real-time preview of the resulting image – any change to the settings or any layer you add is reflected on the canvas immediately. The canvas therefore serves both as an editor and as a preview of the final output.

Interface layout#

The Feed Image Editor interface is divided into three main parts:

Canvas (center) – shows the current state of the template with the product image and all layers. You can zoom it in and out using the controls at the top of the canvas or with the mouse wheel.

Right panel – used to configure the template. You go through it step by step: selecting a product query, setting the format, adjusting the image, AI tools, adding layers, the activity scheduler, and saving the template. The active tab is always highlighted.

Left tool panel – contains quick access to the main functions for editing the template and switching the view.

Zooming the canvas in and out#

The current zoom level of the canvas is shown at the top, above the canvas. Use the + and − buttons to zoom the canvas in or out, or click the magnifying glass with the value to return to the original view. This is especially useful when working with detailed layers or checking the result before saving the template. You can also zoom in and out with the mouse wheel.

FAQ#

Does the canvas always show the real product from the feed, or just an illustrative image?#

The canvas shows the actual product image from the feed – a specific product from the assigned product query.

Can I move layers directly on the canvas with the mouse?#

Yes. Layers added to the template can be moved on the canvas by dragging them with the mouse. You can also fine-tune the exact position numerically in the layer settings in the right panel. Guide lines help you align layers precisely with each other and with the edges of the canvas – activate them with the Snap to element button in the left panel.

Can I have multiple templates open at the same time?#

The extension always works with one template at a time, and you switch between templates on the Templates page in the top bar. Save a template you are working on before leaving using the Save button in the top right corner, or discard it by clicking Leave in the dialog box.
