What Is the Mergado Dashboards Extension?#
Mergado Dashboards is a simple extension for centralising system notifications and information from the Mergado ecosystem in one place. Its primary purpose is to let users monitor alerts about potential issues in their projects on a large screen — for example, mounted in an office. The extension reduces the risk of missing important errors and improves the efficiency of managing multiple projects.
The extension is ideal for:
- Agency teams that manage dozens of online stores at once and need an instant overview without having to check each project individually.
- Project managers and freelancers who need to monitor the status of campaigns and workflows in real time.
Pricing and billing#
Using the Mergado Dashboards extension is completely free for Mergado Editor users, with no additional fees.
Usage is tied to one user in Mergado and is free regardless of the number of dashboards created.
Since the extension is free, it has no trial period.
The extension is currently in beta. We welcome your feedback to help us develop it further.
Key concepts related to the Mergado Dashboards extension#
- Public dashboard — Accessible via a unique (secret) URL. It can be displayed on any device (e.g. an office screen) without needing to log in to a Mergado account on that device.
- Private dashboard — Accessible only to logged-in users within the Mergado Dashboards extension. Intended for personal viewing.
- Widget — A specific module that determines what data will be displayed on the dashboard (e.g. notifications, credit status, active extensions).
Requirements for launching the Mergado Dashboards extension#
- A Mergado Editor user account.
- Active extensions that generate notifications (e.g. Bidding Fox, Pricing Fox, etc.), as Dashboards draws data primarily from them.
Main features#
- Project overview in one place — Aggregates alerts and notifications from all your projects onto a single screen.
- Better work organisation — A manager can easily monitor alerts and assign tasks to the right people.
- Display flexibility — Create multiple different dashboards for different purposes (for the team, for the manager, for specific types of errors).
- Reduced risk of missing errors — When managing a large number of projects, it is easy to overlook something. Dashboards ensures nothing important slips through. Automatic data updates also mean that new errors appear on screen immediately.
- Security — Restrict access to the dashboard to a specific IP address (e.g. a corporate network or VPN).
- Wide range of widgets — Support for many data types, from notifications and Keychain connection status to data from Pricing Fox and PPC Wolf.
- Display the dashboard on any screen — Simply set the dashboard to public and use the generated unique URL to display it on a TV or monitor in your office.
Working in Mergado Dashboards#
Activate the extension in Mergado Store by clicking the I want to activate button.
In the Mergado Dashboards extension interface, you will see the Settings and Dashboard overview pages, where a list of all created dashboards will be displayed. Open a specific dashboard by clicking on it.
How do I create a new dashboard?#
Create a new dashboard by clicking the New dashboard button on the Dashboard overview page.
- Enter a Name for the dashboard.
- Choose the type — Public (for display on a screen via URL) or Private (for viewing directly within the extension).
- Enter the IP address of the computer or screen on which you want to display the dashboard.
- Choose the Widget type — Select the data you want to display in the dashboard (e.g. notifications, product queries, etc.).
- Click Save. After saving, the dashboard is generated. If it is public, open the generated URL on the screen of your choice.
Optionally, you can use the related Mergado Lists extension, which allows you to create named lists of online stores, projects, or queries. You can then use these lists as a data source when setting up dashboards. This is useful, for example, if you want to limit a dashboard to a specific group of clients rather than your entire account. It is also helpful when managing a larger number of dashboards — if a client is added or removed, simply update them in the list once and the change will automatically apply to all dashboards that use that list.
What types of data can be displayed in a dashboard?#
In Mergado Dashboards, you can choose from various widget types depending on the type of data you need to monitor.
- Mergado Notifications — Displays unread notifications. Once you mark a notification as read in the system, it disappears from the dashboard.
- Queries — Displays a table with Mergado projects in rows and specific queries in columns. If you have queries with the same name across projects (e.g. “Products with errors”), they are grouped into a single column.
- Mergado Keychain — Displays the status of your connections in the Mergado Keychain extension. Lets you identify broken connections, unnecessary connections, or missing connections that an online store should have.
- Active extensions — An overview of which extensions are enabled for individual online stores. Helps identify unnecessary or missing extensions for clients. Note: extensions linked to projects are not shown.
- Products — Lists specific products from a particular query in a given online store. Products are sorted from newest first, and elements containing URLs are displayed as clickable links.
- Pricing Fox — Displays diagnostic data and validators from the Pricing Fox extension. This allows you to easily check product counts in projects — how many are unmatched, how many appear alone on a Heureka product card, and similar information.
- Pricing Fox Keychain — Monitors the configuration status and data connections within the Pricing Fox extension.
- Scraping Camel pages — Provides information about the web pages being tracked by the Scraping Camel extension.
- Scraping Camel keywords — Displays results and information from keyword analyses running in the Scraping Camel extension.
- Heureka credit — Displays the current credit balance on Heureka. The information is updated once a day. A Heureka connection in Mergado Keychain is required for this widget to function.
- PPC Wolf — Displays diagnostic data and validators from the PPC Wolf extension.
- GPT Tip of the day — Displays responses generated by artificial intelligence. In the Settings tab, enter your OpenAI API key, and when creating the dashboard, provide a custom prompt that determines what GPT shows you — for example, a daily tip, a project status summary, or any other content.
FAQ#
What is Mergado Dashboards and what is it used for?#
Mergado Dashboards is an extension that lets you display system notifications and other information from the Mergado ecosystem in one place — typically on a large screen in your office. This gives you an instant overview of alerts and potential issues across all your projects, without having to check each one individually.
How much does Mergado Dashboards cost?#
The extension is completely free for Mergado users, regardless of the number of dashboards created.
Do I need to log in to Mergado on the office screen?#
No. A public dashboard is accessible via a unique URL, so it can be displayed on any device without logging in to a Mergado account.
How do I prevent unauthorised access to a dashboard?#
A public dashboard is protected by a unique URL. You can also restrict access to a specific IP address, making the dashboard available only within your corporate network or VPN. If you want to use a dashboard strictly for personal use, choose the private type, which is only accessible within the extension interface.
Can I have more than one dashboard at the same time?#
Yes, the number of dashboards is unlimited. You can create different dashboards for different purposes — for example, one for the entire team on a large screen and another for a personal overview on your laptop.
What data can I monitor in a dashboard?#
You can currently choose from twelve widget types: Mergado system notifications, a product query overview, Mergado Keychain connection status, active extensions on online stores, a product list from a query, diagnostic data from Pricing Fox and PPC Wolf, Pricing Fox Keychain connection status, Scraping Camel data (pages and keywords), Heureka credit balance, and AI-generated responses via OpenAI.
Do I need any specific extensions for dashboards to work?#
For basic notification display, you need at least one active extension that generates notifications (e.g. Bidding Fox or Pricing Fox). Some widgets have specific requirements — for example, the Heureka credit widget requires a Heureka connection in Mergado Keychain, and the GPT Tip of the day widget requires an OpenAI API key.
Can I limit a dashboard to selected clients only, rather than all of them?#
Yes. If you use the related Mergado Lists extension, you can create named lists of online stores or projects and use them as data sources when setting up a dashboard.
