The Mergado Marketplaces feed format is based on the Mergado XML format. It’s designed for users who want to use the Mergado Marketplaces extension but aren’t sure which feed format is suitable for this add-on. Beyond simplifying the decision during project creation in Mergado Editor, this format also offers benefits like faster initial Mergado Marketplaces setup and the ability to synchronize availability through this feed format.

What is this feed format for?#

When using Mergado Marketplaces, two types of data are needed:

• Product data
• Availability data

If you don’t have an availability feed available, don’t worry. You can easily solve this with Mergado Editor ✅

1. The first option is to create a new project in Mergado Editor purely for availability. Choose Mall or Heureka availability feed as the output format and use it in Mergado Marketplaces. A detailed guide can be found here.
2. However, if you have availability (stock count in numeric format) and product data in a single feed, you can create a project in Mergado Editor and choose Mergado Marketplaces as the output format. This way, a single feed is enough for synchronizing both product data and availability.

Advantages and disadvantages of the Mergado Marketplaces feed format#

Advantages:

• You only need a single feed in Mergado Editor containing both product and availability data.
• Faster campaign creation in Mergado Marketplaces. For this format, our campaign creation wizard pre-fills elements and you don’t need to enter an availability feed.

Disadvantages:

• Although Mergado Marketplaces synchronizes availability every 15 minutes, the data in your Mergado Marketplaces feed updates according to how often the feed is regenerated in Mergado Editor. For the most up-to-date availability, the best solution is still to get the availability feed directly from your e-shop platform.
