How to complete Allegro product cards#
This article explains how to add missing required parameters to existing Allegro product cards using the Product card completion feature in Mergado Marketplaces.
We have added the ability to add required parameters to already existing cards from the Allegro catalog. This applies to cases where Allegro has a product card under the given product identifier in its catalog, but the product card is not complete. To link an offer to this card, the Allegro product card needs to be completed. This is possible in the new “Product card completion” section.
You can access this section through the product cards section or by clicking the icon next to the validation message “The Allegro product card is missing required parameters, add them via ‘Product card completion’ in the ‘Product cards’ section”.
1. Determining Allegro categories#
The first step is to launch a process that determines what category the given product cards belong to on Allegro, so the app can offer appropriate allowed values for the missing parameters:
Please note that determining Allegro categories may take a while if there are many products with this message.
The category list will be in English, as this is the format in which Allegro sends us the categories. Don’t worry though — the parameters will be added to the product card on the market where you are selling.
2. Filling in missing parameters#
After clicking on a category, a list of products that need parameters completed in the given category will be displayed. A missing parameter is highlighted in red, and after filling it in, the “Launch product card completion” button will become available:
3. Result of parameter completion#
- ✅ If the parameter is successfully completed, the product will disappear from the table and the offer will be automatically linked to the corrected card.
- ❗ If Allegro returns an error, an exclamation mark icon with an error message will appear in the table, and the parameter will need to be corrected. After correcting the parameter value, you can re-launch the product card completion.
