Assortment Report from Heureka#

Some Mergado extensions (e.g., Pairing Bear, Bidding Fox, Pricing Fox) work with reports from Heureka – most commonly the assortment report. Heureka generates these reports, Mergado Keychain downloads them, and individual extensions draw data from them for analysis. In this guide, you will learn how the process works, how often reports are generated and downloaded, and what to do when Keychain displays the message “Connection issues” or when data appears in extensions with a delay.

How It Works in Mergado (When Reports Are Created and Downloaded)?#

  • Between 1:00–4:00 AM, Mergado clicks “Generate assortment report” on Heureka.
  • Within roughly two hours of that click, Mergado attempts to download and process the report.
  • If the download fails, Mergado retries at regular intervals.
  • If it keeps failing, you will see an orange “Connection issues” message next to the connection in Keychain (the assortment report entry may show an unspecified error).
  • In practice, it can happen that the Heureka connection is fine, but Heureka is not generating the report – so there is nothing to download.
  • Changes in some extensions (e.g., a configured campaign or rule) may not take effect until the following day.

How to Verify and Resolve Issues with Assortment Report Downloads?#

1) Check the Connection Status in Keychain#

  1. In Keychain, check whether the Heureka connection displays an orange “Connection issues” message.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Verify that the Heureka connection is working properly.

    • If it is and you still see the message, proceed to step 2 – Heureka may not be generating the report.

2) Verify Report Generation in Heureka Administration#

  1. In Heureka administration, open Statistics and reports from the left menu.

  2. Check whether the “Assortment report” tab is available (where you would typically see the red highlight on screen).

    • You should see the corresponding screen with the assortment report.
  3. Cannot see the tab? Verify that you meet the conditions for report generation:

    • you have the “Verified by customers” badge, or
    • you have credit.

3) Check Your Credit#

  • Even if you have “Verified by customers”, a negative credit balance may prevent the assortment report from being generated.

4) Evaluate the Status and Give It Time#

  • If the Keychain connection is working properly and Heureka is generating the report, but Keychain shows that report data is outdated, wait about 1 day – Heureka may not have generated new reports yet, so Mergado has nothing to download.

When to Contact Support#

  • If the “Connection issues” message does not disappear after one day, contact Mergado technical support. We will investigate the connection issue.

  • When you see the “Connection issues” message, first verify in Heureka administration whether the assortment report is actually being generated.
  • Check your credit – a negative balance can block report generation even with the “Verified by customers” badge.
  • If Keychain reports a problem but clicking Edit shows the connection is OK, give the report about a day – new reports may not yet be available from Heureka.
  • Changes in extensions (campaigns, rules) may not take effect until the following day.

Yes, the connection may be OK, but the report from Heureka may not exist yet. In that case, wait about 1 day for a new report to be generated.
