Changing user details in your Mergado account#
Got a new email or phone number, want invoices sent directly to your accountant, became a VAT payer and need to add a tax ID to your billing details, or changed your company name or address? You can easily and quickly make all these changes yourself directly in your Mergado account.
We’ll walk you through step by step what and where you can change or update in your account.
Changing your name, surname, and phone number#
- On the Main page (Dashboard) of your Mergado account, go to the User and billing details section.
- Edit your name, surname, and phone number in the corresponding fields.
- After making your changes, don’t forget to click Save settings at the bottom of the page.
Changing your email#
- On the Main page (Dashboard) of your Mergado account, go to the Security section.
- In the Change email section, enter the new email you want to use with Mergado Editor (e.g. for receiving invoices or notifications from Mergado Editor or its extensions).
- Confirm the email change by clicking Submit email change request — the change takes effect immediately.
Changing your password#
- On the Main page (Dashboard) of your Mergado account, go to the Security section.
- In the Change password section, fill in all the fields.
- Confirm by clicking Change password — the new password is set immediately.
Changing billing details#
- On the Main page (Dashboard) of your Mergado account, go to the User and billing details section.
- In the Billing details section, update or fill in the billing-related information (company name, billing email, company ID, tax ID, address, currency, or order number).
- After making your changes, don’t forget to click Save settings at the bottom of the page.
Tip! In the billing details section, there’s a Billing email field where you can add any number of email addresses to receive invoices (e.g. your accountant, associates, business partners). If you leave this field empty, invoices will be sent to the email in the User details section.
Changing the billing period#
- If you want to change the billing period (e.g. from monthly to annual for a 20% discount), go to the Payment settings section on the Main page (Dashboard) of your Mergado account.
- In the Billing period section, select 1 month (for monthly billing) or 12 months (for annual billing).
- After making your changes, don’t forget to click Save settings at the bottom of the page.
Tip! Always make billing period changes at the end of the currently selected billing period. All billing-related changes take effect on the next invoice. If you’re in Mergado Editor, you can access user or billing detail changes by clicking the arrow icon in the top right corner of the page (next to your username), then clicking Account settings, which takes you to the User and billing details section.

How do I access account settings from within Mergado Editor?#
Click the arrow icon in the top right corner of the page (next to your username). Then select Account settings — you’ll be redirected to the User and billing details section.
How do I change my billing details in my Mergado account?#
On the Main page (Dashboard), go to the User and billing details section. In the Billing details section, you can update or add: company name, billing email, company ID, tax ID, address, currency, order number. After making changes, click Save settings at the bottom. Changes take effect on the next invoice.
Can I redirect invoices directly to my accountant?#
Yes. In the User and billing details section, there’s a Billing email field where you can enter any number of email addresses to receive invoices automatically. So invoices can go directly to your accountant, business partners, or associates.
How do I change the billing period?#
On the Main page (Dashboard), go to the Payment settings section. In the Billing period section, choose:
- 1 month — monthly billing
- 12 months — annual billing (with a 20% discount)
Don’t forget to click Save settings. Make billing period changes at the end of the currently selected billing period. The change takes effect on the next invoice.
