Changing the plan for your online store#

If you want to change the plan for your online store, you should know that you can’t do it manually. The plan level is automatically determined by Mergado based on the number of products in your output feeds.

In other words, Mergado looks at how many projects (integrations) you have within a given online store and how many products are in the output of each project. It adds up all output products and determines the plan type based on the total count.

If you have multiple online stores, Mergado calculates the plan separately for each one. Each online store will therefore be billed separately on your invoice.

How do I find out what plan I currently have?#

You can easily check your current plan directly in Mergado.

On the main page of Mergado, click the online store whose plan you want to check.
On the last row in the Products column, you’ll see the total number of output products that determines your plan.
Click the “i” icon on the black bar. Here you’ll see your current plan along with other information — the product limit for this plan and how much of it you’re using, your billing period, and when your plan is prepaid until.

You can also see plan information for all your online stores on the User details page. Go there by clicking the arrow icon in the top right corner of the page (next to your username) and clicking User details.

How do I change my online store’s plan?#

You can’t change the plan yourself. The plan level is automatically determined by Mergado based on the number of products in all output feeds of the given online store.

I want to add products or create another project for my online store. How do I find out which plan I’ll be on?#

You can easily check the plan level in the Pricing section on our website.

In the left green field, choose whether you want to see the price for monthly or annual billing.
In the right green field, choose whether to display prices in CZK or EUR.
Enter the number of products in your online store.
Enter the number of integrations (projects) for this online store.
See which plan your online store will fall into.

How do I know if my plan has increased?#

When you exceed your currently prepaid plan, you’ll receive an email notification. If based on this notification you make changes in the online store that bring it back to the original lower plan (e.g. delete a project or reduce the product count), we won’t bill you for this short-term increase. If you don’t make changes, we’ll send you an invoice for the plan increase soon.

What if I’m reducing the product count or deleting projects? How do I lower the plan?#

If you remove enough products or projects from your online store that it falls into a lower plan than the current one, you don’t need to do anything or notify us. Mergado automatically detects the product count decrease and lowers your plan.

How are differences billed during plan changes?#

Mergado billing works as a subscription. The price difference from a plan increase is therefore billed using a differential invoice.

If your plan decreases during the current prepaid period, this price change takes effect in the next billing period.
If your plan increases during the current prepaid period, this price change takes effect in the current billing period and the increase is billed via a differential invoice.

How is the product count calculated for determining the final price?#

The total product count for billing is calculated by adding up products in all output feeds (projects) within the selected billed online store.

For example: You own an online store with three projects. One for Heureka with 2,000 products in the output feed. A second for Zboží.cz, also with 2,000 products in the output feed. A third for Google Merchants with 1,500 products in the output feed. That means: 2,000 + 2,000 + 1,500 = 5,500 products, which falls under the Basic plan with a limit of 10,000 products.

I have multiple online stores. Can I combine all feeds and get a plan based on the total?#

No. Mergado calculates the plan independently for each online store. Even foreign language versions (e.g. .sk/.de/.pl) are counted as separate online stores, because in Mergado’s context, an online store is defined by the input feed domain.

How are plans determined for Mergado extensions?#

Individual Mergado extensions have fixed prices, which you can find in our Pricing or the Mergado Store. The price is fixed and not affected by the number of output products.
